Not in the System

So, I was dealing with picking up some equipment on account, and I was informed, very suspiciously, that I was "not in the system."

I write software applications and deal with data all the time.  I know there are many reasons why I might no longer be on a system.  That is inconvenient but understandable.

What pisses me off, is when there is this insinuation that because I was not "in the system" that I was running some sort of scam.  That it was my fault, not their fault, that I was not "in the system".

Well this is my rant to low-paid gestapo type service workers when dealing with someone who is "not in the system."

It may not be the persons fault.  Systems written and manned by humans are not omnipresent nor omnipotent.  Mistakes are made. Data gets erased by others especially in open systems.

So hold the accusational looks.  It will cost you business.  It cost mine.

Grrrrr!!!!!
