Thanks to all...
The small town ambulance company where I live, which treats their employers really well, has just been sold to a mega health care corp. Ultimately this will mean reduced benefits, lower pay, lower moral, less opportunity for advancement, and the loss of quality care in the small town that I live.
It was a good move by the owner, I'm sure the owner saw the writing on the wall and agonized over the sale for a long time. In the end if you can't win you do what you have to do I guess. The owner most likely felt that the small company that the owner created with it's values would no longer be sustainable in the future as is so the owner sold out.
Another Obamacare casualty...along with something like 2 in 5 doctors seeking early retirement, the lowering of most service worker's work weeks to below 29 hours a week per job (now most will work two or three jobs), a family of four's premiums (those unlucky enough to be poor enough to get government) approaching 20K according tot he CBO, and more.
What a disaster.
