Ok, first of all, I think the two brothers did the attack as the official narrative states. I view this as a horrible tragedy and my thoughts go out to the people who were injured in the attack. That being said there are a few troubling questions about all this in my mind.
- Where did these kids get the cash and know how to make all these bombs, explosive vest, home made grenades? Not saying it is impossible that they couldn't have figured all this out on their own, but this needs to be looked at.
- Weren't there five explosive devices? If one device could fit in one back pack, that raises concerns that more people were involved in this than just the two brothers. So how big were these bombs?
- The mother of the bombers claims that the older brother was "counseled" for years by the FBI. This claim I bet is false, but it absolutely needs to be looked at.
Another troubling aside is that the Constitution immediately flew out the window during all of this. A huge part of a Boston suburb is completely locked down, and all of Boston appears to be under some form of quasi martial law. The military is involved as well. This could all be a good thing to facilitate the capture of the remaining bomber, but is anyone else besides me worried about larger civil rights concerns? The death of posse comitatus? So now as these things happen (and I bet they will happen more frequently unfortunately) should we all get used to the military, TSA, police, FBI, etc... regularly being on the streets conducting house to house searches and random checks without a warrant? Also there were numerous security forces (both private and government) present at the Boston Marathon. The bombers literally dropped a bomb near two Craft International mercenaries without them realizing it. The bombers also placed the bombs without hindrance while spotters, bomb sniffing dogs, under cover officers, electronic detection devices were present. Although some would point to this as evidence of conspiracy, I don't. To me it is a giant condemnation of the police state. General Patton once said that fixed fortifications are a monument to the stupidity of man. I'm not sure what the answer is to stop all of this, but I know shredding the Constitution so a police state can be established to "protect us" is NOT the answer. But that unfortunately is the vector we are headed on. More thoughts there later.
