Nothing is as simple as it seems with this guy. I was too optimistic. I still stand behind us worrying more about American middle class jobs than trade wars that effect elite's pocket books. But it looks like O's symbolic gesture was just a small political payback, nothing more.

No, I'm serious. Obama stepped to the plate, at least on a token symbolic level in one specific narrow instance, to come to the aid of American workers by slapping down tires from China (which were probably being sold at a lost to drive competitor companies and American workers out of work).
