Fighting the Right War

The problem with Americans now isn't with division, though that is a huge symptom. The problem is everyone fighting the wrong battles. I'm guilty of the same. I stepped back, not because I'm virtuous but because I had to. And with that understanding looking at the world I see how bad things are really getting. Again, not because of politics, but because those who actually do have a light that can affect the world are getting bogged down in the wrong fights making their light ineffective. As designed. Converting someone to be a progressive or a conservative will not deliver their soul from hell. Winning an argument online will not give you an eternal crown. Gaining the whole world to make it "righteous" will not deliver your own self even if this could be done. Those who are wrong and spread the cancers this world is dying from are those whom Christ died to save are whom he commanded you to go after and love and witness to. There is a time to stand up for what is right. But let's get real. Nothing is going to redeem our political situation nor this world at this point. We are in a rescue operation, always have been, always will be. Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no one comes to the Father but by me." This is the right war. This is the right battle. Pointing the lost to Jesus so some may believe and be saved. In Paul's day you think the Roman empire was less corrupt then the world is today? When Jesus walked the earth you don't think there was some of the same horrid stuff going on behind the scenes today going on? True, it wasn't done in a industrialized scientific fashion as it was today, but it was going on. Considering the signs of the times are you surprised it all has evolved into what it is? God and His apostles focused on redeeming the lost not this world, not destroying the control system. One day all the things you know about in part will be brought to full light and the guilty eternally damned forever if they didn't turn when they could have. There are few of us that are called to hold the darkness in check in those areas, a few but not many. For most of us our battle is souls. Hate is always knocking at our doors, be careful to keep it out and Christ in. What is hard is at times this hate is even justified. But Jesus directing our life and not the hate generated by the rhythms of this world we can fight and win the right war. Now is the time to fight the right war. Tomorrow the cost, like in most areas of the world, will be much higher. Redeem the time.
