Not everything I say about Obama is bad. I actually like the concept of what he is trying to do here...defuse a bad political situation by bringing the parties together and drinking a few beers.

Obama should have never commented in the arrest (but the guy was his friend, so I won't fault him that much for it), and it is a shame this little dust up distracted both the President and the VP, both of which I'm sure have more important things to do, but still...having a few beers and talking things over, can't fault that to much now that the damage had been done.
Maybe as bad as this week was Obama and Biden needed a beer as well. As much as I hate their politics, they are still people, and if this ended up being a fun thing for 'em to distract them from their woes, as well as defuse an issue, I'll call it a good thing.
