American Kids Taking the Low Road More and More

Yes, the Hip Hop generation continues to bring joy to the older generations. This latest study, which is no surprise, cites and increasing rise of dishonesty and cheating among American youth-

This is the kicker-

"Despite these high levels of dishonesty, these same kids have a high self-image when it comes to ethics."

So they not only are more apt to sin, they are less apt to be aware of their own character flaws. Another element of a perfect storm brewing for America's future.

And if you are from the younger generation and are reading this, I really do believe that it isn't all your fault. You have less opportunities, almost zero sympathy from your elders, and you are competing against the whole world with one hand tied behind your back. I understand the temptation to go out and take by deception or force what isn't yours, because if you don't someone else will. There is a better way though, but I understand that the high road is more costly now. It will pay off in the end. But I understand that someone from my generation or older telling you that doesn't have much resonance.
