Recession/Depression and Executive Authority

Ok, the Bush admin handed a trillion dollars of our money over to their brows in the banking system, and most of that money will drain away into off shore bank accounts and never be heard from again. The jokers like Poulson who through this together need to be punished, and this was by far and away the worst thing the Bush administration did. Not even so much for the missing trillion, but for the lack of confidence it inspired in the American public right before the election.

So, lets look at where the recession stands now.

Not really any big deal right? Wrong. Sure it is a big deal if you are one of the thousands and thousands of Americans that lost your job, your house, your credit rating, etc... And lets remember the source of our statistics...it is the man. The man doesn't like bad numbers, so the man will often manipulate the numbers to look better then they are. Apparently if you are unemployed for a certain amount of time, you are no longer calculated into the unemployment rolls, but are then considered a "discouraged worker" and no longer counted. That is fine if folks like this were off the public payroll, but I doubt they are, so our unemployment records is probably much higher then reported.

Still, even with the disclaimer, we see that these recession things happen. It doesn't mean the world is coming to an end, even though I think the health of our over-all economy is not very good at all, and the government needs to step in and stop foreign goods from coming into our country so easily, and break up all the American oligarchies that exist (I know, wishful thinking). It means that we are going through a very common, market correcting cycle.

Enter the left, lead by Obama. They are going to seize on people's fears, and introduce all sorts of reforms that will ultimately change the very fabric of what this nation is all about. Missteps by Bush, and unpopular war constantly hyped by the leftist media, and greed by the rich have given them their opening, and they mean to take it.

So you greedy bastards in the banking system and on wall street have given socialist and communist an opportunity to conquer America from within that they couldn't do militarily from without. "Change".
